Eindhoven, December 8th – New Do-it-Yourself service from RedesignMe makes thousands of creatives accessible to everyone with a creative challenge.

Whether it is a new logo, product improvement, a new name for a service or an eye catching package design, every type of challenge can be submitted to the community of RedesignMe. A crowdsourcing panel consisting of 4000 members with expertise in design, marketing and innovation.

Companies, organisations and individuals can now directly place a challenge on RedesignMe.com, 24 hours a day.
“We think the bakery around the corner, or a starting entrepreneur should also be able to try out co-creation. From now on that is possible from a few hundred euros”, says Maxim Schram, CEO RedesignMe.

Since March 2008, RedesignMe is running ahead with their mission to give co-creation a bigger part within the innovation process. A number of larger companies in the Netherlands, like Pickwick, Mora, ABN-Amro and Albert Heijn, already successfully involved their end users in the innovation process.

“By making co-creation available to everyone, we take the next step towards a new world where every product or service has been created or improved with participation of its end users”, says Maxim Schram, RedesignMe.

After months of absence today we introduce our completely rewritten drawing tool, the RedesignerTool 2.0screen-shot-2009-11-24-at-64220-pm

From now on it is no longer necessary to use Photoshop, Paint or Illustrator to quickly capture your ideas. Just use the RedesignerTool directly from the “Place Redesigns” form.

The tool was developed in collaboration with  Studio Ludens through a Private Innovation Voucher made available by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Try-out the tool here.

The Duke of Edinburgh has attacked the complexity of television sets and remote controls, giving a rare glimpse of life inside the Windsor household.

Prince Philip said the quality of design had in some areas declined, and he picked televisions as an example.

Harking back to an age when televisions were simple, he said: “To work out how to operate a TV set you practically have to make love to the thing.”

[Maxim] The prince should definitely contribute to Design Critique.

Last week RedesignMe launched a press release on our new private portals:

EINDHOVEN - RedesignMe B.V., which helps businesses engage consumers in their product development, has launched Private Co-creation Portals. Using these private sites, companies can form communities of employees, customers and suppliers. The online environment enables the fast exchange of innovative ideas between selected internal groups, and allows product managers to respond quickly. “There’s no reason why crowdsourcing shouldn’t work in the business world as well as it does for consumers. Companies are buzzing with ideas on how to improve products and services, but all too often they get lost in bureaucracy and logistics. Everyone wants to innovate, but there still seems to be a lot of fear of ‘going public’ with ideas. Our tools can ease the anxiety of getting your ideas out there,” said Maxim Schram, CEO at RedesignMe B.V.

The private co-creation portal by RedesignMe is a secure page where administrators can invite selected people to help with the innovation process. The portal is supplied in the house style of the company and is easy to use.

“Because the portal is ready-to-use, companies save a lot of time and money that would normally be spent on development. Innovation, instead of lengthy, can be instant.” added Maxim Schram.

pw_smallHi Pickwick Challenge Redesigners, hereby an update from the Pickwick team to inform you about the follow up of the Pickwick Challenge this past spring.

The past months we have been busy with our annual brainstorm of ideas, which results in our new concepts. Of course we took your ideas and suggestions into consideration during this process!

At this moment we are busy selecting the best ideas from this brainstorm and to refine these ideas to potentially successful concepts. The next step is to test these concepts through customers. The best scoring concepts will eventually also be released in the market.

If any of your ideas will be released we will certainly let you know well in advance! Meanwhile keep an eye on http://www.pickwick.nl for the latest developments or check our own innovation portal, http://openinnovationsaralee.com
