Comments
- A website design is not part of this challenge, but this will possibly be a next challenge. So please take this into account.
- The design needs to be appropriate for print as well as online use (sufficient contrast).
- The business card needs to be a one-sided printed card, without fold. I do like to use a different kind of material, for example transparent plastic.
- After a design is chosen, the final text and specifications will follow.
- The files need to be send conform these specifications and also in different formats (PSD, PDF, JPG).
Target group
Social Matters operates in a business-to-business market. The target group consists of entrepreneurs and marketers of Dutch businesses. The focus area is Overijssel/Gelderland.
Examples
I have added some examples of corporate designs that I think communicate a particular feeling. These are just for inspiration. The new design of Social Matters does not have to resemble these, but theses website do have a certain look and feel that appeals to me.
- http://winkwaves.com/ : playful but still clarifying
- http://sme.muziekkwartier.nl/nl/content/homepage.aspx : the site contains a certain creative look because of the use of colours and shapes. I like the logo which is very recognizable.
- http://www.durftevragen.com/ : simple use colours (lots of white)
- http://www.stunned.nl/ : Nice background.

Drostof wrote: 2010-01-06 16:48:26 Seems like a lot of work for one assignment, if you want to do this right it'll take several days.
A logo, business paper, powerpoint-template, business cards, envelope, e-mail signature.
I think we should better focus on the logo, double the Bonus-RDMs for the winner and let him/her finish the other designs after he/she has won.
PS: ask for a logo in EPS too, otherwise you won't be able to work with it afterwards and you'll have to rework it. -

Grote hap maar zeker een uitdaging, met dank aan Drostof zal ik me proberen te beperken tot een op z'n minst perfecte werken en hopelijk niet te veel ;) (just kidding é =) ) -

Thanks for your feedback. I agree that it's a lot of work, bus as Maxim said, please focus first on the logo and I will give you feedback on the way. I just wrote everything down to give you a complete picture of what I need/want (no surprises).
And yes, EPS is handy too (but that's for later).

- Design a logo and 1 corporate item of your choice.
- The winner of the challange will finish the other designs after he/she has won.
- I will increase the bonus to 4000 RDM's.
I already saw some interesting first designs. Hopefully this alteration will encourage other redesigners to join the challenge as well.

A good site for inspiration.
