About Stairmobil®
The Stairmobil® is a device that is used in the transportation of heavy equipment including white goods, computers, copiers, coffee machines, vending machines and central heating boilers. Having to move a washing machine up and down staircases several times a day is a huge task. In the market there are "stair runners” available, but they are often too large and certainly not capable to take narrow winding stairs loaded with a washing machine.
Stairmobil® has become the specialist in heavy transport that must be transported up and down the stairs.

The challenge
The challenge consists of two questions:
1. Which other users and / or target groups do you see for this ingenious device? And do you see them using the Stairmobil® for other uses?
2. If it was your product, how would you bring the Stairmobil® to the attention of the target market?

Explanation:
1. At the moment we mainly focus on transportation and installation companies, white goods shops, etc. There may be other target groups, machines or situations where Stairmobil® really can offer help, which we have not yet thought of.
2. How can we ensure that the audience is introduced to the benefits and conveniences of Stairmobil®? The resources we do have available and you can use in your Redesign are:

1) Our website: www.stairmobil.nl
The website’s layout is somewhat outdated. How can we make it a prominent site?
2) Advertisements in newspapers / magazines & brochures
Do you think you can design a print campaign that immediately attracts attention?
3) Fair stand
Think of items that attract attention in a fair stand which clearly show the benefits and conveniences of Stairmobil® at a glance. This may include objects along which the Stairmobil® can climb up or objects that Stairmobil® can lift up. Experience has taught us that when the Stairmobil® begins to move, the stand is crowded in an instant.
4) Digital media carriers (DVDs, USB sticks)
A fun / striking design for the coating/shell of the digital media carrier. The design could refer to the Stairmobil® itself or its capabilities.

We currently carry the slogan: "Stairmobil fit for lifting". This should preferably come back in the design, but we are certainly open to new slogans.

We are not asking you to submit a design for each component, but give as many handles to you to just find that one good idea.

More information about the Stairmobil®:
- The Stairmobil® lifts 120 kg with ease and it takes only one person to operate it.
- Very manoeuvrable making it easy to go up and down a spiral staircase or other narrow stairs.
- Positive scores on the Working Condition like physical load, safety, well-being and the applicability in the industry and the availability for the industry.
- Especially suited for central heating installers. With the lift available on the Stairmobil®, an installer can mount or remove an old central heating system on his own. Also, an old cast iron boiler standing on the floor can be easily loaded on the loading platform of the Stairmobil® for transportation down a stairway. Additional economic advantage: Only one installer is required for all these tasks.
- Try to embed as much of the above properties of the Stairmobil® in your marketing campaign!
