In google / search / pictures:Activate the next page button with the space bar instead of moving the mouse everytime to a new position. It's just an idea, i dont know how to realise it.

that is quite a good idea! In some browsers (e.g. Firefox) space bar lets the page jump down.

Google is working with shortcuts a lot in gmail, so they should know how to do it. I see the "n" as a good alternative to the spacebar, as it is international enough to be intuitive. Also the arrow to the right is hot: as the minimal frame size is very small, left to right scrolling is barely every needed.

I will think about it as well,

    Cheers, Simon

Perhaps if Google could have something more static in terms of its position on the search page that might help?
    Example:
    1. have a headnote (like the one on my iGoogle page) with the 'next' & 'previous' options
    2. integrate search with google toolbar such that someone can click on next/previous on the toolbar itself

I like your concept because when searching for a photo or a picture I usually find myself clicking through the images and than drag by mouse all the waaaay up or down to click to the next page. It would be a lot easier for me, because I suffer from Repetitive Strain Injury, to not have to use the mouse for yet another action.

A set key would be very handy but I'm not sure if the space bar is a good choice. Perhaps scrolling through different pages using the + or the - would work more effectively, or a different keybinding such as CTRL++ for the next page.
