HP PSC 1610 All-in-one

manufacturer: HP

This is my All-in-one HP. I use it most of the time to scan my notes. It has a nifty feature so you can scan straight into Apple's iPhoto. From there I can easily archive my scans and email them to other people. The bad thing is that I have to tell the scanner each time which target to scan to. For instance you can scan directly to Photoshop, Acrobat, Preview, etc. This selection process takes a lot of time when I want to scan a lot of stuff. In the movie it's hard to see what's happening on the screen but it's basically giving me a lot of options and I have to skip through them each time I make a scan.It could have just remembered my last chosen setting! Sometimes usability is so easy. :)

Cheap Asian and off-shore products now that deminish the nature of our countries products - likely it's smothered in lead paint and made to last up to and including the last day of warranty. We need to get away from this non- sustainable asian crap that fills up our landfills and reduces us to being souls that search for the cheapest stuff around and ruins our local economy. I say not to cheap off-shore crap and we should tell manufacturers that we don't want this any more - quality at a price not cheap at a massive profit and purely non-environmental. Make a statement!

Despite that it will make a light flash to show errors (without explainitory text) and the only way to turn it off is to hold the power button for 10 seconds. If you hold the button for a longer or shorter period the machine either resets or does not turn off at all. They are decent enough machines and come at a reasonable price but they are not the most thoroughly thought through product.

I got a Brother all-in-one by the way.
