Design Critique

windows/osx/linux

manufacturer: Microsoft/apple/...

- Een presentatie modus in je besturings systeem.
- A presentation mode in your operating system.
Laughing

My idea is a presentation mode in you operating system. It wil stop all pop up's and other unwanted things when your'e bussy with an importand presentation. Laughing

    See for instance here:

  • wrote: 2009-03-31 12:35:44 How about getting your solution integrated into the OS to such extent that it doesn't need user interaction but the OS (your daemon) recognizes that presentation software like Powerpoint, Ventuz, etc... are set to 'presentation' so it launches the appropriate setting wrt popups (antivirus, updates, email...).

Most corporate environments use Windows so it does have a potential market although I believe it would not work for those people providing 'company internal' presentations ... they learned to live with the flaws of the system.

But sometimes the system doesn't recognize that your buzzy with an presentation because you use an program online or something else, what i mean is now there is always an option to set the system in presentation mode. But your'e idea is an usefull option for office and windows! Thanks.

But at my windows pc are pop-ups and i guess that there are a few other people who uses windows too. Especially business man. Who gives presentations. And sometimes I like it when there comes an message with, you've got new mail.

    so.
    - There are many people who use Windows.
    - Apple has sometimes pop-ups
    - Sometimes people want pop-ups

What I want to say with this is: you said that you didn't think when you saw this idea for the first time "wow i need that" and if you are using an apple (i guess (A)) you really don't need that, butt probably there are people who are using an pc,mac, linux that taught by this critique design "who this is useful" :D And when I looked at the people around me, I discovered that there are people who seems struggling with pop-ups during an presentation (or something else) And I thought that this is a nice solution.

PS. I've got a question to you (you're probably English) what do you thing of my English, are there many faults in my reactions?

I'm 17 years old so I still need to learn some things and this is an nice way to learn. :)

    With kind regards Wouter.
