GVB OV Ticket Machine

manufacturer: GVB

To buy an OV card:1. Pick what card you want.2. Pick how many you need.3. Insert money.4. Take your card. What happens when the machine is out of cards?First it takes your money, THEN it checks if it has enough cards, and if it doesn't it gives you some kind of refund paper you have to send to GVB. Why not check FIRST BEFORE ASKING MONEY???Well at least you get a refund paper...however, what if you choose to buy 2 or more cards and the machine has only one left? It asks for your money, then checks if it has ANY cards left, then if it does it takes the money you paid for 2 or more cards and only gives you the only card left and you lost money for your other cards!Suggestion: Check first how many cards it has versus how many are requested and THEN ask for money.

The dispensing of cards can be similar as the operation of an ATM. An ATM counts the money it is giving, and subtracts the amount from your bill. If accidentally money is left inside the machine, you are refunded.

dvolaric wrote: Nov 13 2007 5:36 pm It is RFID, you can check-in and -out by passing the card on a smaller yellow device (every station has a bunch of them). There are also blue devices that look the same as the yellow ones to check your credit. Sometimes people use the blue one to check-in (LOL). Even though there is only 1 blue and many yellow devices, somehow people still get confused. Perhaps it would be a better idea to remove all the blue ones and use the machine to check your credit instead. TRANSLATE
