bart October 26, 2007, 9:30 am "chipknip ... is not a standard either... and again its something to preload. had such thing long time ago. put some money on it and found out it cannot be used anywhere.... why the ..peep.. in holland it must be always the difficult and expensive way to find out that it does not work. This OV card has been doomed already before it is introduced. Why would I use public transport anyway... to take 1 hour from office back home which is 10 minutes drive by car ?"

Nico Z. December 26, 2007, 6:39 pm "Why reinvent the wheel? Why not use the exact same technology used in Paris for Public Transportation. I also like the comment of having everything on one card. Makes more sense! So why not integrate RFID into the bank card, that you also use as ChipKnip and as ATM card. Easily load and unload credit on the card, just like loading and unloading the chipknip. That way if someone only uses the card once in a while, the remaining credit can be refunded to the bankaccount after use."
