Design Critique

U600

manufacturer: Samsung

This phone drives me mad. It has got "high-tech" touch sensitive buttons that get pressed when you don't want them to get pressed. It's a nice technology but really annoys you when you are trying to find something in the menu.

the touch buttons work when you do not want them to and there are two different buttons to cancel certain tasks, but its never clear which one to use.

this is not to be redesigned,it should be sent back to the drawingboard alltogether

Its like touch screen without the screen. So its sensitive when you touch it. You just move your fat fingers better. TRANSLATE

The bug on this special edition is that when i'm sending a text message the phone allways gives a very anoying hard ding dong sound to confirm the message has been send. It is clear that there is nothing to do about it.... yes one thing: buy another phone :/

Cheap Asian and off-shore products now that deminish the nature of our countries products - likely it's smothered in lead paint and made to last up to and including the last day of warranty. We need to get away from this non- sustainable asian crap that fills up our landfills and reduces us to being souls that search for the cheapest stuff around and ruins our local economy. I say not to cheap off-shore crap and we should tell manufacturers that we don't want this any more - quality at a price not cheap at a massive profit and purely non-environmental. Make a statement! They justify this by the rate at which products fly off the shelves. Fine, but the problem is none of the consumers return. An extremely short term outlook that is harming sales.
Aside from the rubbish tactile feedback, this solution means a complicated interaction to cancel making a call, as the keys are locked so that they are not activated by the side of the user's face.
