Blossom (Redesign of: Living Colors) by Yo-L

  • original
By Redesigner: Yo-L Placed on: 2008-04-21 00:00:00 This is a combination of the Philips Living Colors lamp and ordinary flowers. We combined the best of both, and added a lot more.

Good Redesign?

Hendrik July 24, 2008, 1:32 pm "Why does it role and where to? It's a nice feature, but i'm missing the point. Maybe it's more like a pet that's moving around your house without any reason. I don't realy see the link with flowers besides the colors. Maybe someting to think about, if you focus on the pet thing, you can build that 2 balls will interact with eachother, sells even better too!" reply

Yo-L July 28, 2008, 11:02 am "@ Dario: What would be the fun in bowling when the ball itself decides it's course? A changing colour ball would be great, though. And make the pins light up when they got hit as well. @ Hendrik: The ball is supposed to make your interior a bit less static. Like living flowers, that change over time. It just rolls around your room, so you see something different about it every time you see it. It's supposed to be totally independent, so it doesn't need your attention like flowers do (giving them water). The interaction thing is nice, as long as it doesn't become some sort of Aibo. It's not a toy, it's decoration. @Bammetje Of course the ball would have sensors in it. To determine obstacles, lighting, maybe when it got picked up. " reply
